Keri Chadwick joined the Discover Fitness Foundation in October 2011. She is the Special Needs Director at Discover Gymnastics and also the Head of Delegation for the Discover Gymnastics Special Olympics Team.
Keri earned an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Houston. She is currently working towards a National Certification in Nonprofit Management and Leadership through the Non-profit Leadership Alliance at the University of Houston.
She is very passionate about promoting gymnastics and fitness not only in the special needs community, but amongst all youth. As an instructor for special needs gymnastics, she believes gymnastics is an excellent addition to different types of therapy that children face.
Her other volunteer experience include The Soaring Kidz program, The Dynamo Sidekicks, and Cougar For Kids program through the University of Houston. The Soaring Kidz program is a non-profit organization that provides recreational activities for kids with special needs. The Dynamo Sidekicks is a group that organizes fundraisers to support charitable organizations of all kinds. Cougars for Kids is a volunteer program that helps meet the needs of children of all ages who are patients in Houston area hospitals.
Her interests include community volunteering, fundraising, and event planning. She started the 2nd special Olympics team in the Houston Area and organizes meets for the Special Olympics Houston organization.
Her hobbies include gymnastics, tennis, bike riding, and spending time with her family.
