Glenda Clerc joined the Discover Fitness Foundation in June 2010. She owns Clerc Computer Consulting along with her husband, Don, and serves as Vice President of Marketing and Finance. The company has received numerous awards, including the Better Business Bureau’s Award for Excellence, the Greater Southwest Houston Chamber of Commerce “Over the Top” Customer Service Award and the Houston Business Journal’s 100 Fastest Growing Companies.
Glenda has served on other boards as well. For 3 years she served on the board of the Professional Woman’s Exchange Group, a network group for professional business woman, as treasurer, membership VIP and philanthropy VP. She was also a board member for Professional Woman’s Fellowship, a Christian based woman’s group. On the Clerc Computer Consulting Board, she serves as the VP and secretary. Serving on these boards has prepared her well for serving on the DFF board.
Glenda has been a member of First Presbyterian Church for 25 years. She has been a volunteer there in several capacities. These include volunteering as a Stephen Minister, helping run audio and video for the Mo Ranch retreat, helping with the children’s choir ministry and just about anything else she is asked to do. She truly has a servant’s heart.
Glenda attended Tyler Junior College, where she received her Dental Hygiene degree. She also attended the University of Houston working towards a degree in psychology. She worked as a Dental Hygienist for 20 years before leaving to work at Clerc Computer Consulting.
Glenda is very passionate about promoting physical fitness to help people become healthier and feel better. When her children were in school, she made it her cause to make sure they stayed active.
Glenda and her husband, Don have 3 children, Brian 26, Amy 23 and Emily 18.
Glenda’s hobbies include swimming, running, biking, cooking and going on cruises.
